Champion stops selling meat from castrated pigs

piglet2The Belgian supermarket chain Champion will stop at the end of 2013 with the sale of fresh meat from castrated piglets, as was reported today by the animal rights organization Gaia in its press release after a meeting with Champion.

With the execption of Match and Intermarket, all supermarket chains in Belgium do no longer sail meat from castrated piglets. Colruyt and Lidl have stopped already, Carrefour, Delhaize, Makro, Renmans / Aldi, Cora and Champion will stop in the course of 2013.
