On Thursday November 13th, 2014 the third Topigs Norsvin World Pork Event has been held in Berlin (Germany). For the event the leading pork producers and integrations from around the world were invited. The 2014 theme was “Pork and pork quality”
The Topigs Norsvin World Port Event brings the international leaders of the pork supply chain together to share information and to discuss developments. The meeting is a perfect opportunity to meet other leaders in the pork industry.
During the event key stone speakers from around the world presented latest developments on consumer trends in pork consumption, quality aspects of port en new technologies. Dr. ir. Gé Backus presented insights about the effects of stopping castration of male piglets He described the European situation and progress of the dossier en explained the effectiveness of the board taint detection method: HNS system.
